My Story

I'm so excited to share with you my journey and how I strive to live a simple life.  I love all things junky, old and rusty!  I love to repurpose something that no one else would consider worthwhile.  I love front porches, old doors and windows, old books especially mini books.  I love entertaining, good friends, wine, watching the sun go down while sitting on our pier with my husband.  I love hanging out with my daughter & son-in-law.  I love comfortable clothing that's unique and fun.  I love boots and more boots.
God blessed me with a creative mind and I've always loved creating and turning the ordinary into extraordinary. However it took an accident, with a lengthy recovery, for me to discover what I want to be when I grow up.   A true love of fashion, wanting to simplify my life, and being blessed with amazing response to my designs, I began to live my authentic life.  I started designing clothing in my home and selling through trunk shows.  We also decided to sell our home in town and move into the country.

I moved my studio out of my house, to our country property "The Ponds".  Now I create without being disturbed except for the peaceful view of ponds, pastures, cows and the occasional wild life.

We finally were able to sell our house and we have just completed our farmhouse here at The Ponds.  Now that we are in our forever home, my creative energy has really been unleased.  In addition to sharing my clothing line, I want to share my home décor and DIY ideas.  I'm loving all the ideas that pop into my head.   I've become very A.D.D.!   I can't complete a project before I'm on to something new.

I feel that I have come full circle.  I grew up in the country and have lived most of my adult life in town.  I had no desire to drive 20 minutes to get to the store or to plant a garden.  Boy, it's amazing how much I want all that now.  We are so in love with this new season of our life.  We are striving to slow down and enjoy each moment of this beautiful life. We are so blessed and try not to take that for granted.  I thank God everyday for his many blessings.  I'll keep you informed of our adventures as we strive for a simple life.

Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the salves of the ordinary."  Cecil Beaton (English photographer/fashion designer)
